Sweet Pottato and Apple Casserole (DIABETIC RECIPE, NOT LOW CARB)

Ingredients

2 c. sliced apples
3 med. sweet potatoes
1 c. Splenda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. water
3 c.DietLowCarb marshmallows
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. butter

Directions

Pare and slice sweet potatoes; place layer in bottom of a greased 2 quart casserole; add layer of apples and marshmallows. Sprinkle with Splenda, salt and cinnamon mixture. Continue layering until dish is filled. Mix cornstarch with water; pour over entire mixture. Dot with butter. Cover and bake in 350 degree oven for about 1 hour.

Additional Information

My husband ask for this dish at least once a week. He considers it even better that candied sweet potatoes.
