CAULIFLOWER AND TURNIP GRATIN

Ingredients

1 cup whipping cream
1 cup water
2 shallots, thinly sliced crosswise
1 large garlic clove, minced



1 1/2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1 pound cauliflower cut into flowerettes
1 pound turnips, peeled, cut into 1/6-inch-thick slices


Directions

Preheat oven to 375

Additional Information

Sometimes I add 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese the last

10 minutes of cooking
